Motivation & Dreams... The stuff that keeps us going!

Motivation is the main reason or reasons for engaging in particular behaviours. These reasons may include basic needs such as a desired object, hobby, goal, or ideal finish line or target you set! I believe that deep down we all have in our subconscious a finish line, a moment in time that we can pause, take a deep breath and say ‘What a mental couple of months or years it has been, but it was well worth it in the end!’... Or something along those lines!

Motivation and Success, Who Succeeds in Business and InvestmentsGoal Setting is extremely important when you think about motivation and success. So what motivates you? What do you want out of life? Are you doing it for you, if not then you may find it difficult to motivate yourself! Having interest in the brand/dream your promoting is an important motivator for any entrepreneur, so is the desire to learn new things!

When you put these two together, you create a recipe for success! Often success then leads to more interest and a greater desire to learn even more, creating what I visualise as an upward spiral of motivation!

Now please be honest with yourself. Are you genuinely interested in running your own business? Working 70 hour weeks and getting extremely emotional, both angry and happy! No boss or clocking in system that gets you out of bed at 6am every day, could this be the reason that 9 out of 10 businesses fail in the first 5 years! Are you sure that no matter what shit life throws at you, you can get back up, stand tall and keep on pushing forwards! Motivation is extremely difficult to keep high; you will need family, friends and loved ones to support you every step of the way, without support the hill gets much steeper!

Helping others along the way

The philosophical explanation of karma can differ, but the general concept is basically the same. Through the law of karma, the effects of all deeds actively create past, present, and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to him/her and others. The results of actions are called karma-phala. In religions that incorporate reincarnation, karma extends through one's present life and all past and future lives as well. I believe that in both business and life what goes around comes around...

Motivational Quote from Marsha Sinetar "Rather than denying problems, focus inventively, intentionally on what solutions might look or feel like... Our mind is meant to generate ideas that help us escape circumstantial traps... if we trust it to do so. Naturally, not all hunches are useful. But then you only need a single good idea to solve a problem."

Motivational Quote from Sir Richard Branson "A business has to be involving, it has to be fun, and it has to exercise your creative instincts."

Motivational Quote from Robert Kiyosaki "A lot of people are afraid to tell the truth, to say no. That's where toughness comes into play. Toughness is not being a bully. It's having backbone."
